Key Storylines

AD with a real injury?: Not the typical left plantar fasciitis probable listing, but Anthony Davis is questionable with an elbow injury. With no Jaxson Hayes, I’m not sure the Lakers would trust Christian Koloko to play 30-plus minutes if AD is out, so would they go super-small with Rui Hachmiura at center? 

Sat-Sun B2B Kings: If you have streaming space on Saturday due to injuries maybe, note that the Kings have this B2B if you’re struggling for games volume. Keegan Murray is questionable (Trey Lyles too), so we might get a bit more from a Kevin Huerter (his recent shoulder injury shouldn’t cause him to sit the second leg, right?), maybe a Keon Ellis too if we’re lucky.

Key Storylines

Jimmy Illness: Butler left on Friday after only seven minutes due to an illness, so players like Terry Rozier, Duncan Robinson and others could get a boost if it lingers…or maybe it’s just trade sickness. Also, Butler appeared to twist his left ankle before he left as well so, monitor his status. 

Gladiator Suggs: Another week and another game when Jalen Suggs picks up an in-game injury and is going to play through it next game (listed probable). Still, look out for downgrades as Anthony Black, Moe Wagner and maybe even Tristan da Silva or Cole Anthony could benefit if Suggs takes a turn for the worse.

Key Storylines

Ja in doubt: Ja Morant played through a back issue on Thursday but was then forced to leave early and now likely won’t play this game. With Marcus Smart also questionable, Scotty Pippen Jr. could be in for a rejuvenation. Jay Huff also remains out, helping Zach Edey. 

New Trae Injury: Trae Young is questionable with a right heel contusion. If Bogdan Bogdanovic is available for some reason, he is the one who should benefit the most from a Young absence. Unfortunately, Kobe Bufkin (set to undergo season-ending surgery next month) is always injured when these opportunities arise. Bufkin is a dynasty buy-low as you can likely get him for pennies.

Marcus Smart if he’s cleared to play, if not, Scotty Pippen Jr. is the name.

Alternatives: Brandon Clarke, Jaylen Wells, Scotty Pippen Jr., Jake LaRavia, Luke Kennard, De’Andre Hunter (should just be rostered), Zaccharie Risacher, Vit Krejci – helps for deep leagues more if Young is out

Key Storylines

Keyonte George questionable: Collin Sexton broke out of a recent rut and with George questionable, ensure Sexton isn’t on waiver wires. Same goes for Jordan Clarkson. 

What’s wrong with Clax?: I regret my Daniel Gafford for Nic Claxton trade everytime his antics appear. Maybe his heart just isn’t in it this season? Three ejections so far and if you told me it was more, I’d believe you. That said, I’ll still holding and hoping for more, for now.
