There are some hot saves adds for this week, and we’ll also cover ratio guys like Justin Topa that can boost your category coverage. Hot Adds

Tanner Scott (RP) Marlins

David Robertson is out as closer in Miami, and Tanner Scott picked up the save Sunday. Scott is an all formats saves add, and he’s been quite good this season with a current line of a 2.55 era, 83Ks and 1.10 whip in 60 innings pitched. His K rate is gold and his statcast looks great with average exit velocity, xBA, K%, chase rate, Hardhit%, xSLG, fastball velocity, xERA/xwOBA, Barrel %, whiff% and fastball spin all in the 90th percentile or higher.

Justin Topa (RP) Mariners

Topa is in my ratio reduction add range due to his 12.1 shutout innings over the last 30 days, in which he had a 0.65 WHIP. Topa is top 180 in standard cat leagues on the 2023 season and sports a useful 2.06 ERA, 48 Ks and 1.11 WHIP on the season (coming into Sunday), and xSLG, xERA/xwOBA, and Barrell% all rank in the 95th percentile on Statcast. Topa has value in saves only formats due to his ratios, and is especially valuable in holds formats. Topa has 21 holds on the year, and with Paul Sewald out of town from Seattle, everyone on their leverage ladder has gotten a bump.
