Welcome to Sunday Night Pickups: Fantasy Basketball Adds for 12/15! After a slow week because of the NBA Cup, we finish up with a busy seven-game Sunday slate.
Let’s comb through the box scores and see who needs to be picked up and who can be ignored.
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Brandon Boston, SG/SF/PF, NOP (19% rostered, Yahoo)
Tonight: 31 minutes, 20 points (7-15 FG, 3-4 3PT, 3-5 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one steal
Analysis: Boston has scored in double figures in six of his last seven games. He is the first man off the bench and the primary ball-handler and bucket-getter when DeJounte Murray and CJ McCollum sit. He’s been right around a top 100 player on the season and provides decent stats across the board. The perfect rotation piece for any fantas roster, in all league types.
Yves Missi, C, NOP (37% rostered)
Tonight: 34 minutes, nine points (4-7 FG, 1-2 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists, one steal
Analysis: Missi is one of only two traditional big men that are a) healthy and b) getting rotational minutes for the Pels. Even once (if) Zion Williamson is healthy, he should still be able to log a steady 20+ minutes per game, whether that is still starting or as the lone big off the bench. Has averaged 13/11/1 block on 59% FG over the past month and has been a near top 100 player on the season. If you lack big men or big man numbers, Missi is an easy pickup.
Obi Toppin, PF, IND (15% rostered)
Tonight: 21 minutes, 16 points (6-8 FG, 4-6 3PT), five rebounds, three steals, two assists
