We are getting down to the wire for fantasy and if you are in H2H leagues, you want to either start building your team for the playoffs or continue to fight and stay alive long enough to squeak in.
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Cole Anthony, PG, Magic (27% on Yahoo)
Tonight: 23 minutes, 14 points (5-of-11 FG, 2-of-2 FT), three boards, three dimes and two steals
Anthony isn’t going to blow anyone away, but with Markelle Fultz in and out of the lineup, he makes sense as a points streamer on certain nights. The Magic are on a B2B, but Fultz sat the first leg and should play on Wednesday. With the fantasy playoffs around the corner, Anthony should be deployed only on certain occasions.
Vasilije Micic, PG, Hornets (10% on Yahoo)
Tonight: 29 minutes, 21 points (8-of-15 FG, 4-of-4 FT), one trey, five boards, four dimes and two steals
This is what fantasy is all about as Micic blew up and led the Hornets in scoring while only playing 29 minutes. The Hornets are banged up as usual and with a B2B coming up on Sat/Sun, he is a great option for the weekend. Micic has scored at least 10 points in three straight games and racked up multiple steals as well. The Hornets don’t play again until Saturday, so don’t jump the gun.
Tre Mann, PG, Hornets (33% on Yahoo)
Tonight: 34 minutes, 18 points (7-of-9 FG, 2-of-2 FT), two treys, six boards, four dimes and two steals
Mann has been up-and-down since joining the Hornets and this was the first time he had scored in double figures in any of the last four games. Mann has potential as a silly season streamer, but Micic might steal the point guard duties and Mann’s poor FG% is going to be a drag on his short-term value. He’s not a bad option for the weekend b2b.
