This early in the season, most managers may be sitting on the dudes they drafted and there is some real reason for that strategy. After all, you drafted these dudes so you have a level of trust in them. But recent news and changes to the landscape since draft day may have changed your thoughts and you may need to find a replacement. Or you just want to start the streaming party early.

Standard Leagues

Al Horford, C/PF, BOS (42% rostered)

Tonight: 30 minutes, 11 points (4-of-7 FG), five assists, three rebounds, one steal, one block, three triples

With Kristaps Porzingis out, Horford is going to see this kind of run on a good chunk of nights, minus back-to-backs, of course. And any chance they get to rest him, they will. However, he should be on the court more often than not and he can provide excellent production in triples, boards and blocks while not hurting your percentages. And he is a skilled passer so five dimes like tonight is not out of the question.

Miles McBride, PG/SG, NYK (10% rostered)

Tonight: 26 minutes, 22 points (8-of-10 FG, 2-of-3 FT), four triples, two assists. 

Yes, the blowout probably added a few minutes to what he may average, but his offensive skillset allows him to provide this kind of outburst on any given night. Last season he definitely played his way into being a key member of Thibs’ rotation. This level of minutes is not totally out of the question on any given night for McBride. His 45% FG% clip from last year and tonight’s performance tells us that he can be efficient with his scoring, adding to his fantasy value. He also does not turn the ball over much at all, giving him added upside for those in 9-cat leagues.
