Every week I will do a quick drive thru of the all the games and cover the relevant fantasy points. I will look at things that might be fluky or here to stay and try and point everyone in the right direction for the future. We never want to overreact to a small-sample size, but sometimes getting in too early is still better than missing the boat entirely.
Ravens 28 – Dolphins 6
The MIA resurgence lasted one week as they completely melted down at home vs. a defense that has been lit up by almost everyone. Tua Tagovailoa went back to having more INTs than TDs and while Jaylen Waddle continued his ascension, when the QB throws for zero TDs, no one is going to have a great week. De’Von Achane led the team in targets as MIA was in garbage time nearly from kickoff and while had over 100 all-purpose, this game was a letdown if you started anyone from MIA. Waddle was fine with six for 82, but this should have been a ceiling game while Waddle has seen his floor raised signifigantly lead, it’s hard not to think MIA left a ton of points on the board. BAL didn’t as Lamar Jackson proved he is the missing link. He threw for four TD and only have five incompletions as he made short work of the MIA defense. He only ran five times for 14 yards so that is something to monitor, but he could everyone going in this one, especially Mark Andrews who had two grabs, both for TDs. Isaiah Likely was second in targets and he might be ready to dominate the second half. Zay Flowers led the way with five for 64, but when your QB only needs to throw the ball 23 times, there isn’t going to be that much volume. Derrick Henry was solid with 19 carries for 119 yards and he might be a second half league winner. He didn’t score which is brutal as he could have had three TDs if a couple things break right, but it’s good that he’s at least fresh and ready to rumble. BAL has done this so many times, it’s impossible not to think they are going on a run here.
Pickup of the game: TE – Isaiah Likely – Priority Low
Patriots 24 – Falcons – 23
This was supposed to be the game that Drake Maye struggled in as the ATL pass defense has held up all season. While Maye didn’t have his best game, he still completed 19 of 29 passes for 259 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He also rushed eight times for 20 yards and lost one fumble. The leap he has had made this season is remarkable and he remains your best option each week unless you have Josh Allen, Pat Mahomes or Lamar Jackson. With Rhamondre Stevenson out for the game, finally TreVeyon Henderson set a new career high with 18 touches, rushing 14 times for 55 yards and catching four of six targets for 32 yards. This wasn’t quite the breakout we have been hoping for, but it will do and at least sets the rookie up for a second half smash. Stefon Diggs caught three of four targets for 38 yards and a touchdown and he’s now scored in b2b games. Kayshon Boutte suffered a hamstring injury, so check back to make sure he is fine for Week 10. Demario Douglas had four catches on six targets for 100 yards and a touchdown, but he’s not on the radar this season unless Boutte has to miss time and then he’s still a low-end flex play. The Falcons finally played well on the road which is great as Drake London went nuts, catching nine of 14 targets for 118 yards and three touchdowns. No one WR saw more than three targets and it’s London or bust each week. Michael Penix isn’t very complicated, but when it works it works as this week he threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. Despite the loss, the only downside was Bijan Robinson, struggling to get going on the ground again. The Pats are elite vs. the run, but Robinson saw 20 touches in the Falcons’ 24-23 Week 9 loss to the Patriots, rushing 12 times for 46 yards and catching eight of 10 targets for 50 yards. Look for London and Robinson to be the focal points in a high scoring game in Berlin this week. We know Penix isn’t good on the road, but now he is in a different continent.
Pickup of the game – WR – DeMario Douglas – Priority Low

Bears 47 – Bengals 42
This game was nuts. Joe Flacco threw for a career-high 470 yards and four touchdowns while completing 30 of 44 passes despite a nagging shoulder injury. The Bengals nearly mounted an epic comeback as TDs were being scored by the second. Chase Brown was solid once again but didn’t score despite rushing 11 times for 37 yards and catching eight of 14 targets for 75 yards. The real hero was Tee Higgins, who was the best WR this Sunday, catching seven of nine targets for 121 yards and two touchdowns and is back to being the best WR2 in fantasy. Ja’Marr Chase was no slouch, but didn’t score on any of his six receptions for 111 yards. This might be the worst game Chase has with Flacco which is pretty crazy. The Bengals are a fantasy cheat code and whoever they play is the highest scoring game of the season and it’s not really even fair at this point. Caleb Williams completed 20 of 34 passes for 280 yards and three touchdowns plus a receiving TD. Kyle Monangai broke out with D’Andre Swift sidelined and rushed 26 times for 176 yards. He’s a must-start RB if Swift misses more time. Rome Oduzne somehow had zero fantasy points which really is almost impossible in this game. Hopefully, he isn’t hurt or maybe that would better. Colston Loveland had a breakout performance with two touchdowns and 118 yards on six catches this week and he’s finally looking like an elite fantasy TE after doing nothing all season. He’s got upside the rest of the way.
Pickup of the game – RB– Kyle Monangai – Priority High
Vikings 27 – Lions 24
The JJ McCarthy era is underway again and this time with a win despite the QB not throwing for more than 150 yards. Justin Jefferson scored his first TD since Week 1 and Jordan Addison took a step back with two grabs for 48 yards, but this was all expected as McCarthy doesn’t have the arm that Carson Wentz had. The Vikings instead pivoted to a run game and Aaron Jones looked great with nine rushes for 78 yards and another two grabs for 20. This wasn’t a great matchup for him, so fire away while he remains healthy. Jordan Mason saw 10 carries, but only had 36 yards and it’s a dreaded timeshare. McCarthy was the one who found the end zone on the ground as he also threw for two saving his fantasy day. Jared Goff had the classic 280 passing yards and two TDs which fantasy GMs will take every time. The running game stalled out as Jahmyr Gibbs had this worst game of the season with only 25 rushing yards and three receiving yards. This is just a one-off, but it appears that MIN has flipped again as a stout defense against the run and leaky vs. the pass. The Lions were led by Amon-Ra St. Brown with six grabs for 97 yards and a score which has been his calling card all season. Sam LaPorta was great again six for 97 and even Jameson Williams got going with four for 66 and a score. When the running game noshows as David Montgomery only had 40 yards on the ground, the receivers can step up in a flash, especially at home.
Pickup of the game – None
Panthers 16 – Packers 13Â
This was a shocking result, but the Panthers are frisky and beyond Rico Dowdle are a force to be reckoned with, kind of. Dowdle dominated with 25 carries for 130 yards and two rushing touchdowns as he has left Chuba Hubbard in his dust this season. As great as Dowdle is, Bryce Young is just as bad. Young completed 11 of 20 passes for 102 yards with an interception and rushed for nine yards in albeit a tough matchup, but either way Young has regressed and is barely startable in Super Flex leagues right now. Tetairoa McMillan caught four of six targets for 46 yards and while he is amazing, there is only so much he can do when his QB is a nightmare. Jordan Love completed 26 of 37 passes for 273 yards and an interception. Love didn’t throw a TD as this game was as slog and has zero passing TDs. Tucker Kraft tore his ACL, so that never helps as he was the best weapon in the GB passing game this season. Romeo Doubs is now in that role by default as Christian Watson ramps up himself back up. Matthew Golden is no longer on the radar after a season of almost breakouts. Luke Musgrave will do as a Kraft replacement if you are desperate.
Pickup of the game – TE – Luke Musgrave – Priority Low
Chargers 27 – Titans 20
Justin Herbert did it all again and he has to be on the MVP ballot, as he threw for 250 yards, two passing touchdowns, and one interception while rushing nine times for 57 yards and a rushing touchdown. He was the leading rusher again as Kimani Vidal only had 12 carries for 30 yards and Jaret Patterson had nine for 44. The running game is a mess, but the passing attack is as dynamic as any team in the league. Keenan Allen recorded two receptions on five targets for 41 yards, while Oronde Gadsden led the team with five catches on five targets for 68 yards and Ladd McConkey caught four of seven passes for 56 yards having his worst game in a while despite leading the team in targets. Quentin Johnston bounced back with a TD and 53 yards, but the problem is there are four legit stars and at best, three can go off every week and really it’s more like two. The Titans are in the other boat and have zero stars. Cam Ward completed 12 of 21 passes for 145 yards and Tony Pollard rushed 10 times for 56 yards and caught one of two targets for 12 yards. This team has been a stayaway all season and not even Tyjae Spears rushing seven times for 26 yards and catching all three of his targets for 36 yards is going to change that. Elic Ayomanor caught three of six targets for 46 yards this week and Chimere Dike was solid in special teams, but abandon ship if possible.
Pickup of the game – None – Â
