This is the end. At the time of publishing, we will have just three game days left in the regular season. Some teams will only have two games to go. Sunday is going to be a circus as most teams will be able to rest their main characters in preparation for the playoffs to come, while teams on the other end of the spectrum will rest their main characters in hopes of securing the best possible draft pick.
We’re going to look at the potential volume edge here but just because games are on the schedule doesn’t mean they’ll feature the players you want in your fantasy lineups. This week we’ll group the teams by those who should be playing hard and those who won’t over their final two or three games, giving you some clarity as to which household names you can lean on and which teams might be loaded with upside streaming plays.
As far as individual adds go, feel free to do whatever you want or whatever you need. Friday and Sunday are both 15-game slates so there’s no real schedule streaming left to do. Focus your attention on the categories you need and make those moves.
Three-Game Teams
The Bulls, Wizards, Heat, Raptors, Celtics, Knicks, Pacers, Nets, Sixers, Rockets, Lakers and Warriors all have three games remaining — Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
There are a few teams in here that are likely to be missing some important players for at least one of those three contests so the theoretical edge isn’t all it might look cracked up to be but there are also some teams in this mix that might not have the big guns for any games, which means a prayer or two might be answered. The Sixers, for example, probably won’t have Joel Embiid on Friday at minimum, while we wouldn’t expect to see any of the main Celtics on Sunday. We’ll break down which teams are in which bucket from here, but the list above features your best bets for maximizing volume.
Full Go
These teams still have lots left at stake, so we would anticipate typical workloads, if not extended ones, for all of the usual suspects. That means any borderline 12-team options who are in the rotation gets a pretty solid bump — and while we’re focused purely on pickups here, it means you can probably count on the lineup fixtures to keep carrying the mail.
