• Tonightโ€™s slate opens with a major storyline: Trae Young is back for the Wizards. Washington will likely ease him in with limited minutes, but even a 24โ€“28 minute stint changes the dynamic of their offense.

Injuries continue to ripple across the league. The Clippers will be without Yanic Konan Niederhauser (right foot) and John Collins, while Ivica Zubac of the Pacers (ankle) is expected back before the end of the season. Washington is without Kyshawn George (partial UCL tear, expected to miss at least 3 weeks), Jamir Watkins (left ankle), and Tristan Vukcevic (tight contusion), all out. Mark Williams (left foot) will also not suit up for the Suns tonight, nor will Keyonte George for the Jazz.

Amid the chaos, Jayson Tatum is expected to make his 2025โ€“26 season debut Friday against Dallas, a boost for Bostonโ€™s rotation and an intriguing addition for fantasy basketball teams.

Nights like this reward attention to detail: tracking who steps into expanded roles, which rotations tighten, and where the minutes really go. Letโ€™s dive in on this edition of the cheat sheet and look at adds, streamers, and storylines to monitor.

    Top Pickups

This is the “general must-add” section regardless of the slate. If these players are being overlooked and remain chilling on the waiver wire, consider adding them to your squad.

    Neemias Queta (39%)

2 points, 2 boards and 1 block in 16:14, and yes, Iโ€™m still in on the add/hold.

This is exactly what we signed up for. The team has clearly signaled theyโ€™re going to lean into his strengths, and the role should be sturdy enough to sustain fantasy value. Not every line is going to pop. Some nights will look like this, a little light, a little frustrating, but zoom out and it should normalize into useful production.

If his skill set fits your build (blocks, boards, some efficient interior scoring), you can hold steady or scoop him back up if someone panicked and cut bait.

One more wrinkle: he picked up a minor injury early in this one. He was able to return, so it doesnโ€™t look serious, but it clearly disrupted his rhythm and likely capped the final line.

    Robert Williams (7%)
