If you think 2026 NBA Draft scouting hasn’t begun, think again!

We’re just about at the turn of the year, which means there is no better time for a 2026 Draft look ahead than now. By this point, you should have a decent idea of whether your dynasty team is competing, rebuilding, and lurking somewhere in between. With that comes hard decisions – do you sell off veteran pieces for future-focused assets? Do you trade away future draft capital to make an all-in push? Should you try to stay in the playoffs and hope you get lucky?

Tantamount to answering those questions is actually having an idea of what the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft holds in terms of prospect quality. If you can forecast what level of prospects you’ll be drafting, you can get ahead of other managers in your dynasty league. While much can change in the six months leading up to the draft, we still have a decent outlook of what this draft class will contain. I’ll spoil it here – this is a very strong draft class, and I would be more willing to tank/rebuild this season and acquire 2026 draft capital if my team were on the edge of playoff contention.
