The silly season starts earlier every year and it feels like we are almost there already. The league is cracking down on tanking and fake injuries, so this one has a bit of a different feel, but in the end, teams will find a way to shut their prized stars down if they deem it necessary. Here is a list of players who may come back late to turn fantasy postseasons around, and some others who appear to be sinking ships for tanking teams. So letโs get into it.
Buy Low
Jayson Tatum, F, Boston Celtics
Tatum is due back on Friday and will work his way back into game shape throughout the end of the season in preparation for what could be a long playoff run. Tatum will still cost you a Top-50 player in a trade, but it might be worth it, as the Celtics will have plenty of work to do figuring out how to play with him again. Tatum was a Top-10 fantasy player last season and should be a Top-50 player for the rest of the season, although Iโd expect him to sit out a few games, as the Celtics have two back-to-back sets remaining.
Quenton Jackson, SG, Indiana Pacers
