2025 Week 12 Fantasy Football Injury Roundup

  • Joe Burrow – Bengals – Toe

Burrow, who’s been practicing for the last week is expected to return from his toe injury for Thursday night’s divisional showdown with the Ravens. Burrow has been out since Week 2 with the injury and will finally return. While the Ravens’ defense has heated up and gotten rolling recently, the two matchups last year between these two teams produced a lot of offense and Thursday night should not be any different. Even with Tee Higgins out, Ja’Marr Chase returns from his suspension and Burrow should be started.

Aaron Rodgers – Steelers – Wrist

Rodgers missed the Steelers’ Week 12 matchup with the Bears due to the fracture in his non throwing wrist but head coach Mike Tomlin is optimistic Rodgers will be able to return in Week 13 against the Bills. If needed Rodgers could be a great quarterback stream play this week or if rostered, worthy of a start against a Bills defense that has been struggling the last couple of weeks.

Baker Mayfield – Buccaneers – Shoulder

Mayfield suffered a sprained AC joint in his non throwing shoulder in Sunday night’s loss to the Rams. With the game seemingly in hand, the team played it safe and held Mayfield out for the remainder of the game. He was spotted on the sideline in a sling. MRI results came back clean and Mayfield does have a chance to suit up Sunday against the Cardinals. If he can go Mayfield is a must start against a Cardinals’ defense that is middle to bottom of the league in passing yards per game and points per game allowed. If Mayfield can’t play, it would be Teddy Bridgewater getting the start and after struggling Sunday night, he would not be start worthy and could impact the value of Emeka Egbuka as well.

Ashton Jeanty – Raiders – Ankle

Jeanty suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of the Raiders’ loss to the Browns on Sunday. Head coach Pete Carroll does not believe it is severe and at this point, all indications are he should be good to go for this Sunday against the Chargers. He would be a must start in that game just based on volume alone.

Isaiah Pacheco – Chiefs – Knee

After missing the last couple of games, Pacheco is expected to return for Thursday afternoon’s game with the Cowboys. Pacheco practiced all last week but due to the short turnaround with a Thursday game, the Chiefs held him out for one more game. Pacheco at this point will hold low end RB2/Flex value only as Kareem Hunt and Brashard Smith have played well in Pacheco’s absence while the Cowboys run defense has shown vast improvement the last couple weeks, all of the sudden making this a less favorable matchup.

Alvin Kamara – Saints – Knee

Kamara suffered a sprained MCL in the Saints’ loss to the Falcons on Sunday. It is unclear whether he will miss time or not but will likely be week to week. With Kendre Miller on short term injured reserve, rookie Devin Neal would be in line for lead back duties and while he didn’t run the ball particularly well on Sunday, he did well in the passing game. He would be a worthy add on the waiver wire in matchup against a Dolphins defense that has not done well against the run. However, managers should always be aware with the Saints of Taysom Hill potentially taking up volume in their backfield.

Tee Higgins – Bengals – Concussion

Tee Higgins suffered a concussion in the Bengals’ loss to the Patriots on Sunday. It was already announced that Higgins will miss Thursday night’s game with the Ravens. Andrei Ioshivas will again step into the number two wide receiver role and could be start worthy. Ioshivas was targeted seven times on Sunday giving him viable fantasy value and it should only be enhanced with Joe Burrow’s return.

Rashee Rice – Chiefs – Hamstring

Rice suffered a hamstring injury in the Chiefs’ win over the Colts on Sunday but was able to finish the game. He is expected to practice on Tuesday, which is trending positively for his availability on Thursday when they face the Cowboys. Should he be available, Rice should be started in all formats and will hold WR1 value. If not, Xavier Worthy and Marquise Brown should see increased roles and will hold start worthy fantasy value.

Michael Mayer – Raiders – Ankle

Micahel Mayer suffered an ankle injury in the Raiders’ loss to the Browns and did not return. With the return of Brock Bowers, Mayer has not surprisingly seen a drop in target share but has still gotten one to four targets per game since Bowers came back. If Mayer can’t go Sunday, it will be Ian Thomas taking over the number two tight end role and could be a good stash in case Bowers gets hurt again.

Will Campbell – Patriots – Knee

While this report seldom involves linemen…this one was important enough to include. Campbell suffered a sprained MCL and was carted off the field during the Patriots’ win over the Bengals on Sunday. Campbell is a candidate for short term injured reserve, which would put him out at least four games and have a significant impact for Drake Maye’s value for the fantasy playoffs. The Patriots play the Giants on Monday night before their bye week, which despite Campbell’s expected absence is still a favorable matchup and Maye is a must start. Depending on how much time Campbell misses, it could impact Maye’s start value for the remainder of the fantasy season. Â
