Aaron Rodgers – Steelers – Wrist
Rodgers suffered a small fracture in his left wrist. Since the injury was to his non throwing hand there is the possibility he could miss very little, if any time at all. He is pushing to play in Week 12 for the Steelers’ road contest with the Bears. It will come down to how well he is able to grip the ball after taking snaps. If Rodgers can’t go, it will be Mason Rudolph who takes over and should be started only in case of emergency. Fantasy managers are better off finding a quarterback to stream on the waiver wire.Â
Michael Penix Jr. – Falcons – Knee
Penix suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers and was placed on short term injured reserve, meaning he will miss at least the next four games. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the injury could be more significant than that and has the potential to be season ending. Kirk Cousins takes over the starting job and will try to resurrect a Falcons team whose season has gone nowhere near according to plan. He will at least get games against the Saints, Jets, and Buccaneers, which provide favorable fantasy value and could give Cousins some QB3 streaming value.Â
Dillon Gabriel – Browns – ConcussionÂ
Gabriel suffered a concussion in the Browns’ Week 11 loss to the Ravens and is now in the league’s protocol, meaning he will have a number of steps he has to clear in order to play in Week 12. If Gabriel doesn’t clear it means the Browns’ other rookie Shedeur Sanders would be in line for his first NFL start against the Raiders. Much like Mason Rudolph, fantasy managers are better off finding a quarterback off the waiver wire to stream rather than scrambling to pick up Sanders.Â
