The MLB trade deadline day ended up being a very busy day, ending what was a very productive five day period of trading. Some teams were winners, some teams were losers, but all told, they completed well over 30 total trades.
Risers & Fallers: All Pitching Edition
About two months ago I was putting my Risers & Fallers article together and it ended up coming out to all hitters on the rise and all hitters on the fall, so I thought that it was about time the pitcher received the same treatment.
Risers & Fallers: Brandon Nimmo, Carlos Correa &…
With the All Star break starting Monday and the All Star game on Tuesday, I've decided to celebrate this week and have nothing but risers. Brandon Nimmo heads the list, on pace for career year and a big reason for the Mets most recent push. He is joined by a finally healthy Carlos Correa, Alec Burleson getting full time at bats, Brent Rooker's continued growth and a Craig Kimbrel renaissance.
Weather Impacts on Your Fantasy Players for July…
A much higher rain threat this week as Beryl spreads moisture throughout the eastern U.S.
Risers & Fallers: Lazaro Montes & Colt Emerson…
This week's risers and fallers is all about my recently released Top 100 Fantasy Baseball Prospects updated list for July. On the risers side are two players from the deepest system in the league, Lazaro Montes and Colt Emerson, of the Seattle Mariners, and the athletic catcher in the Kansas City Royals organization, Blake Mitchell. On the fallers side, we have dominant, but rarely healthy, left-handed fireballer Ricky Tiedemann, Diamondbacks shortstop Tommy Troy and an I-was-a-year-too-early Angels prospect, Nelson Rada.
Risers & Fallers: Lane Thomas rebounds, Hunter Brown’s…
This week's risers and fallers is again a six pack of topics to talk about. Lane Thomas has rebounded from a poor start to the season and a Grade 2 MCL sprain, Jackson Merrill has been the best "Rookie Jackson" in the league and Hunter Brown added a new pitch and completely turned his season around, for the risers. As for the fallers, Gleyber Torres' poor production has resulted in spending some time on the bench, Carlos Rodon has a complete meltdown and the fall of the Texas Rangers offense.
