Good morning, good evening to everyone reading this wonderful article today. My name is David, and I am excited to be bringing you my favorite plays across this 7 game night. As always I will be bringing you a few nuggets from last night’s massive card, and some things to monitor as we go through today’s action.

Last night we watched as Kevin Durant broke Sixers fan hearts everywhere carrying the Nets to a road victory, and a slate high 73 fantasy points, contributing a massive triple double. Nikola Jokic, Domantas Sabonis, and Anthony Davis also showed out with fantasy performances of 70, 51, and 50 making them almost indispensable night in and night out. Biggest surprise of the night went to Myles Turner putting together a career high night with a massive 40 point 10 rebound effort to the tune of 64 fantasy points. Plenty of excitement to dive into tonight, hold on to your seats folks.

Ahead of us, we have a 7-game card filled with all types of spreads featuring some interesting story lines. The Suns traveling to take on the Trail Blazers have the highest total of 232 so I will be targeting players from that game to start most lineup builds. The Pelicans travel to take on the Timberwolves in a back to back contest which should have plenty of fireworks with some of the young studs on both sides of the ball. Final game I want to highlight is the Grizzlies traveling to take on the Clippers in the late game, since we can expect a bounce back effort from the Clippers and a motivated Grizzlies team on the other side of the ball.

Out of the entire 7 game slate only 3 games have a spread greater than 3 and a half points making tonight chalk full of great game stacks and player options.

Without too much additional hype, let’s dive into some of my absolute favorite plays on this Saturday card.

    Player Tiers

    Expensive Tier

Luka Doncic ($10,800) – First bounce back effort I am predicting on this night is also the highest priced player as well. Coming off an absolute stinker of a game where he shot an abysmal 6-17 of the field to the tune of 44 fantasy points. Luka is facing a Raptors team on a second night of a back to back putting him into position for a monster effort in this contest.

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($10,500) – Giannis is my second high priced stud that I expect to come out hungry and motivated as he travels to take on the Spurs who are also on the second night of a back to back set. After an opening night feast against the Nets, Giannis played only 23 minutes and put up 37 fantasy points in a blowout loss to the Heat on Friday night. This matchup should not scare anyone as the Heat don’t have a player who can guard his ability to drive to the basket at will. After burning many managers the other night, myself included Giannis will certainly be lower owned than usual making him a solid tournament play for most DFS lineups.

Karl Anthony Towns ($10,200)- Towns is another fantastic stud on this slate, as the clear alpha dog on the Timberwolves team, he is a monster double double threat night in and night out. Going up against J-Val, I do not see any issues with Towns dropping another 55-60 fantasy points in a home game against the Pelicans. The one two combo with Anthony Edwards will likely be a formidable duo for many years to come.

    Mid-Tier

Bam Adebayo ($7,800) – Bam only went through a slight salary increase heading into tonight’s action. As one of the primary scorers in the starting unit, Bam should be a must-roster in the mid tier salary range due to the matchup against Sabonis and Turner in the post. It should be a physical battle between these young promising big men, with the edge going to Bam since he is not coming off a game the night before. Look for Adebayo to drop 40 fantasy points or more with relative ease.

CJ McCollum ($7,400) –  First game of the season and CJ dropped 34 points to go along with 3 steals and block, we can expect more of the same as the Suns travel to take on his Trail Blazers as one of the late games on the slate. A matchup against the Suns with Devin Booker should not scare anyone into playing Mr. McCollum. Primed for another massive game in (likely) a high-paced matchup will feed my interest in rostering the shooting guard. I expect 40-45 fantasy points in this contest, as most of the attention will be on Damian Lillard once again.

Eric Bledsoe ($5,900) – In his new role on the Clippers Bledsoe is stepping in nicely as the second option on offense behind Paul George. Coming off a game where he dropped a cool 37 fantasy points, the salary gurus dropped him down to $5.9K, making him a relative bargain in a likely high-scoring affair against the Grizzlies.

Derrick White ($5,900) – Another player whose salary refuses to increase, making him a relative lock tonight against the Bucks. White is coming off two games averaging nearly 35 fantasy points, making him a rock solid option in the mid-tier price range. With a renewed shooting stroke and confidence, White should have a bounce back year, and tonight is another step in that direction.

    Value

Scottie Barnes ($4,000) – Coming off a 25-point and 13-rebound effort, the pricing on Barnes is outrageous. The rookie is getting plenty of playing time and is making the most of his opportunity. I love Scottie tonight at only $4K, he should put up another strong performance as the Raptors host the Mavericks.

Chris Duarte ($3,900) – His salary is at rock bottom after two strong performances to start his rookie season. $3.9K is a great price for the young guard. Lock him into lineups across the board.

DeAnthony Melton ($3,800) – 31 minutes in the last game, have we finally seen the unlocked potential of Hoop Ball favorite Melton? The Grizzlies seem to be keen on playing him heavy minutes to start the year, let’s ride the wave all the way at this point. Coming off a solid 31 fantasy point effort, lock him and watch the magic unfold.

Honorable Mentions: Tyler Herro ($5,500), Keldon Johnson ($4,900), and Grayon Allen ($4,700)
