James Harden

Shams Charania of The Athletic is reporting that the Rockets are playing hardball, as they’re apparently demanding either Kyrie Irving or Kevin Durant in return for any deal that includes James Harden.

Houston seems to prefer to repair their relationship with Harden while he is under contract for a couple more seasons with a player option on the third year. This is also a leverage play by the Rockets as they would reportedly demand a lot in return if they do change their mind and decide to deal their franchise cornerstone. There is zero chance that the Nets part with either Irving or KD so we should expect more trade rumors involving Harden in the next few days.
