Tom Thibodeau made the first addition to his coaching staff on Tuesday, hiring Kenny Payne as an assistant.

Payne has spent the last 10 years at Kentucky, where he has been John Calipari’s associate head coach since 2014. He also spent five seasons as an assistant with Oregon and will now be reunited with former Wildcats Julius Randle and Kevin Knox. The Knicks are determined to slowly turn the page but we need to see even more strong basketball decisions for the Mecca of basketball to become relevant again.
