Omari Spellman

PF, Minnesota Timberwolves

Wolves President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas announced this morning that the team has assigned Omari Spellman to the Iowa Wolves, the team’s NBA G League affiliate.

There was some talk this week about Spellman potentially being bought out, but the Wolves are opting to keep their young forward. Spellman is just 22 years old and he should get plenty of minutes in the G League, but there doesn’t seem to be a path for him to earn a role with the Wolves this year.
