Donovan Mitchell finished with a team-high 22 points (9-of-22 FG) to go along with nine rebounds, one assist, two triples and nine turnovers in a crushing loss to the Nuggets in Game 7 on Tuesday.
Mitchell wanted this one bad. He committed his ninth turnover with under 20 seconds to go and gave the Nuggets the ball to seal the game. Somehow the Jazz still almost won because Torrey Craig missed a layup rather than holding the ball out for the win but Mike Conley couldn't hit the game-winning shot. Mitchell played his heart out this entire series and has managed to make the playoffs in all three years of his career. Still just 23 years old, Mitchell has likely not even entered his prime yet and will be another popular early round pick in next season's drafts.
