DeAndre JordanC, Brooklyn NetsMore and more lately, Jarrett Allen is doing the starting, but DeAndre Jordan has been trusted with finishing games with the Nets.
Every time he’s asked about lineups, Kenny Atkinson always dips into his cliché bag and replies it’s not about who starts but who finishes. The Nets’ coach decided to stay with DJ’s physicality for every second of the past two fourth quarters, in which the veteran piled up 14 points, 16 rebounds and a plus-15 in 24 bruising minutes. With two big teams on tap, the Raptors on Wednesday and the Sixers coming out of the break, the trend could continue. Jordan remains a nice source of rebounds and blocks while his free throw shooting has risen to a respectable 69.2 for the season.
