Norvel PelleC, Philadelphia SixersNorvel Pelle was just a top-375 player in fantasy as a rookie, though he did put together some interesting games and flashed long-term upside with 1.3 blocks in just 8.9 mpg.
Pelle impressed in Summer League and worked his way into a two-way contract, and then jumped right over Kyle O'Quinn in the Sixers rotation on his way to a full standard contract. He made for a nice play whenever Joel Embiid got hurt and should be the deep-league handcuff of choice going forward. If he can wrestle some of the usual backup minutes away from Al Horford, he has a chance to be a legitimate blocks specialist.
