Brandon IngramSF, New Orleans PelicansIn his first year away from Los Angeles and the Lakers, Brandon Ingram delivered a phenomenal season averaging 23.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.4 triples, 1.0 steal and 0.7 blocks in 56 starts, good for 22/29 value in 8/9-cat leagues on a per-game basis.
Ingram was quick to establish himself as the alpha dog, especially since Zion Williamson was sidelined to begin the season. He showed the consistency that he lacked in his first three years in Los Angeles, improving his free throw shooting while achieving career-highs in almost all of his statistical categories. The return of Zion after Christmas didn’t really affect his numbers and he finished the season as a top-25 asset, rewarding all fantasy managers who drafted him in the early rounds. It’s likely that the Pelicans offer him a max-contract extension this summer and hopefully he will continue to develop next to Lonzo Ball and Zion Williamson.
