Hi guys!
I’m all but locked into a playoff spot and our leagues so tough this year that it doesn’t really matter about my standing as I’m middle of the pack and it’s statistically slim that I drop below 5-6th now and unlikely I get above the second seed.
Can you give me some advice on what cats I need to aim for based off my current roster and who’s my drop candidates when things start to get spicy in two weeks!
Current team is;
AD
Jrue
WOOD!
Vuc
Roco
Reid
Graham
Nunn
Theis
Whiteside
Napier
Prince
Huerter
Gasol in IR
It’s 12 team 9 cat H2H.
I’m stacked in blocks, good for rebounds and good most of the time on points. My threes are above average and my steals were pretty good but can fluctuate week on week. I wanted to add Ariza to bolster this now he’s got his feet under him but he got nabbed this morning before I could grab him. TOs also fluctuate and unless I play a really heavy TO team I loose this.
So then that leaves my FT and FG which due to prince, whiteside, Reid, graham and annoyingly Jrue isn’t great.
I drafted to punt assists but as the season has gone on have added players that have dragged that up higher than I planned and now again depending on match up I sometimes win.
Trying to decide whether I focus on 3s and stream steals to take me to 5 cats, or whether I should instead focus on a shooting cat (maybe ft?) and assists as that’s an easier streamer during the week?
Also what do you think of Gasols ROS outlook. JJJ and Clarke were dropped but JJJ got claimed using waivers this morn. I’m sceptical about whether any of them produce in the 3 weeks or so to make enough impact. He’s in my IR so I’m not loosing anything from keeping him now. But maybe Clarke could be a better add.
Any opinions or advice welcome!
Thanks
Let me take a stab at this.
If I was in your position, I would probably focus on strengthening your steals and 3s (even if you will be punting assts) while keeping solid percentages.
Try to scour the waiver/stream the spots for Taurean and/or Napier.
In these builds, you can look at the likes of efficient fringey bigs that won’t hurt your FTs (Gasol, Clarke, maybe Favors, Dedmon, JJ, Thad Young).
You can also look at guards/wings with solid rebounds, steals, and some 3s (even with low points assts). Ariza fits that bill, or Divincenzo, Mikal (if available).
I’d try to just keep Jrue, Graham, Nunn as PGs. Removing Napier and Prince will actually strengthen your FG% and TOs quite well.
What are the other options in waivers?
Seems like in doing that, you have a pretty strong Blks, rbds, fg%, stls, TOs with FT% too.
Thanks,
I’ve got Gasol and Clarke is on waivers after being added and then dropped. The other guys have already been picked up.
Ariza already got picked up but divin is still available and he was an option I had considered.
Waivers are pretty thin to be honest. Seth got picked up this morn along with j Jackson. There’s ingles who doesn’t fit the build. White who’s been shakey at best. McRae is available along with Knight, saric, lyles, Bruce brown, Grant, Zubac, Anderson or Poole?
Ah. If that is the case, I’d probably suggest to get Divin for Prince then change Shabazz to a decent big/or gasol (and consider streaming Divin by playoffs depending on how Divin and/or Gasol are looking. I’d probably not stash Clarke yet as well until we hear positive reports.
I actually will pick up Lyles from that bunch until LA returns.
