I am currently in first place in my ESPN 10-team 9-cat H2H league. There is a possibility that I could trade Brogdon for Lowry. The question is should I do this?
Clearly, this is a buy low opportunity for Lowry. But he is 31 years old and is coming off a career year where he shot 40 points better than his career average of .424. He's been pretty bad this year. It appears I would be giving up points and FG% for a bump in assists and rebounds. The Bledsoe trade worries me as a Brogdon owner.
Is Lowry going to come anywhere near his 2016-17 season? Which player will end up ranking higher at the end of this year?
I take that trade and don’t look back. Lowry is still Lowry.
Lowry will finish way higher and it's not even close. Brogdon will probably be closer to a top 100 guy for the rest of the season. Take the trade and don't look back.
Yep, even with his slow start, Lowry has a triple-double. It's a quietly not-that-awful beginning that just FEELS worse than it is because he isn't getting any steals. He'll come around.
Where is lowry likely to finish? Would it be worth entertaining a Jokic for Lowry anf M.Gasol trade or similar?
Don't make a 1-for-2 trade. Almost ever. Lowry probably top-30 by season end.
Agree with everyone above, even before the Bledsoe trade I would rather have Lowry over Brogdon ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. Sure Lowry comes with some injury risks, but a guy who threatens a trip-dub any time he's on the court and can hit as many three-balls and swipe it as much as he can.....that's upside you can't deny....especially when all it will cost you is a mid-round guy in Brogdon.
