Hey guys, what do you reckon the ROS outlook is for JaMychal Green? I've been stashing him so far because I know he was pretty high on the B150 but last season's stats were fairly underwhelming (9 & 7 on good % with only 1.7 money counters) in 27mpg. Would you drop him for guys like Greg Monroe, Dinwiddie, or Cody Zeller? Thanks guys.
Nah. Hold him. Dinwiddie is the next best guy on that list, though who knows with Monroe.
JAM finished last season quite strong and has a much bigger opportunity this time around, with no Z-Bo.
I think if we're expecting a big year we may be overdoing it. For reference, over Green's final 8 games last year, he played about 170 mins and had precisely ZERO steals and blocks. zero.
He's a pts/boards guy but he has a path to those pts/boards. Just don't expect a ton more.
@Jonathon, Not really. In the last month of reg season he only had one 20-11 game and the rest were more like 10-5 games with only a smattering of defensive stats and maybe 1 trey. I'm not even sure the departure of Z-Bo means anything for him because he's still stuck in the same role as last year, ie. starting PF next to usage hogs Gasol and Conley. So if he's not going to see the ball then where's his "bigger opportunity"?
@Dan, I hear you mate. But even in the pts/boards department he's not really shown that much promise either right? His percentages are good and he can shoot the three-ball so he has a solid fantasy foundation at least. But even if his mpg goes up from 27 to 30 maybe, unless he sees higher usage where does the growth in stats come from? So if he's not going to threaten to be a double-double on any given night then shouldn't we be searching for more upside elsewhere?
