Hey guys, I'm in a 10team HTH and have someone coming off IR and need to make a drop. I feel like these guys are all must-own and have great ROS outlooks, but alas one has to go. Help me decide who will have the least value ROS. Thanks
Jeremy Lamb
Buddy Hield
Justin Holiday
Spencer Dinwiddie
John Collins
Tyler Johnson
Larry Nance
Probably Lamb, maybe Holiday if he begins to fade and the Bulls make big moves.
Well you definitely wanna keep Dinwiddie and I would say he's the only true must-own in that list of players.
John Collins and Tyler Johnson are borderline must-own in my book.
So for me, it's between Lamb, Hield or Holiday. It's close, and if you put a gun to my face to choose one, I'd go and drop Hield. I'm very uncertain about this new "2 vets rest" nonsense in Sacramento and it'll continue to bring unpredictable limitations to Hield. I also would say I have some bias to Lamb and Holiday as I had shares of them in the earlier part of the season.
Btw, who's your guy returning from injury?
Thanks for the thoughts so far. Tyler Johnson is actually the guy coming back. I picked up Hield to stream knowing in the back of my mind that he's a major post-AS blow-up candidate and it seems like that is happening now, so I'm weary to drop him.
Here are my thoughts:
Holiday: I'm leaning toward him due to overcrowding and trade uncertainty. I was hopeful that the reduction in shots would increase efficiency but that hasn't really happened. His upside feels capped, but then again he was riding at a top-75 level as recently as two weeks ago
Lamb: If nothing changes he is the easy choice. However, there is talk of the Hornets starting a rebuild by trading vets. If Walker or Batum left, he would receive massive burn, but I'm not sure how high the upside would ultimately be there, and I wouldn't say any trade is very likely
Hield: He is still very up-and-down but he's staring at big minutes ROS and has a great stat set. He hasn't done it yet this season, mostly due to the yo-yoing of the Kings coaches, but there is nothing holding him back from top 50-75 range ROS. It does take a leap of faith, but he seems like a great forward thinking pick
Nance: Another trade guy, if nothing happens he could go back to sub-20 min at any point and be too inconsistent. Also he could be traded to a team where he doesn't see minutes. However if Randle is traded, his upside is just MASSIVE and I feel like he's a must-hold until the deadline
I'd drop Holiday.
I really want to hang onto Lamb in case anyone in Charlotte gets moved... if they don't, he's the drop. I'm a bit worried that as LaVine really gets revved up Holiday might lose all his looks.
