10tm9cath2h: I was offered Pat Beverley and Draymond Green for my Oladipo. I love my Oladipo though. What do you guys think? I'd have to drop 1 too.
My Roster:
PG: John Wall, De'Aaron Fox, Dennis Smith (PG/SG)
SG: Victor Oladipo (PG/SG), Josh Richardson (PG/SG/SF), Jaylen Brown (SG/SF)
SF: Robert Covington (SF/PF), Thad Young (SF/PF), DeMarre Carroll (SF/PF)
PF: Anthony Davis (PF/C), Aaron Gordon (SF/PF), Paul Milsap (PF/C)
C: Myles Turner (PF/C), Andre Drummond (PF/C)
I would do it and drop Jaylen. Draymond is going to be an easy 2nd rounder, Oladipo will be there in the absolute best case scenario. Beverley is locked for out of position rebounds and 3s/stls as well.
You think I should drop Jaylen over Thad Young?
I think so. Jaylen had some great games to start but even with that he's outside the top-100 on the year. His free throw percentage is bad and he's taking almost four a game with no assists and Young is a potential 50% shooter.
I'd do it and probably drop Carroll myself. He's rolling now but I think there's a good chance he gets hit with his usual injuries during the next month or two. Brown would be my second option.
Thanks Nathan! No concerns on Green's prior injury?
Thanks AnnaKarina! I think I would lean towards Brown over Carroll. He looks rejuvenated under Atkinson whom he played for in Atlanta a few years ago. Nathan did make a point that Brown doesn't contribute much in the peripherals.
Haha, and I might consider a drop of one of the rookie PGs you got. Rooks tend to be very inconsistent. Or Brown. Or DeMarre. They all work. But yeah, Dray is going to be better than Victor on his own by season end.
@intalexual no concerns at all. agree with Dan as well, Fox/DSJ could go as they don't shoot well either and are inconsistent.
@dbesbris @nnguyen012 Regarding the rooks, I'm just thinking playing time will increase as the season progresses, especially for Fox as they're a rebuilding team. DSJ is the future in Dallas but you do make a point that they'll be inconsistent and perhaps the rookie wall at some point. In terms of the trade, it seems like a consensus to accept.
DeMarre Carroll strikes me as a player you could drop and not feel like you're losing much. It's hard to see him drastically outperforming vs. expectations and you're keeping your young guys at that point. Smith would be my next drop because I'm not convinced he can bring the stat set together. Either way you gotta do that deal.
