14 team H2H league with 1 IL spot...Here is my team and I am in 2nd place out of 14

Conley, Paul George, Embiid, T Ross, Batum, Matthews, Demar, Portis, Dedmon, Nance, Osman, Zeller IL spot, Robinson, & B Bogdanovic

As you can see i have only one point guard but the funny thing is I dont struggle badly in assists every week but i want to shore up my team for playoffs.

My question is which of the following pg should i go after or any others u may suggest . i am willing to do a 2 for 1 deal as well? Who should i offer?

Btw: lonzo Ball is on waivers as of Feb 2 but i am 3rd for waiver claim but not sure who to drop

Teague
Mudiay
Rondo
Lou Will

Thank you

Hi Bucketts
You have a nice squad! I do agree that you definitely need another PG on the roster. Before you make a decision make sure that you look at where you stand in the statistical categories. You don't want to hurt yourself while trying to help yourself.
I doubt you will have a shot to get Ball, he will probably be gone when you pick.
I think Rondo would be a solid pick up because he is going to get good minutes even when Ball comes back, plus if Ball is moved in a AD trade then Rondo will be the man at the point with Lebron & AD. That could be what moves you from 2nd to 1st.
Good luck!

I suppose I could play a little devil's advocate and as you head to the playoffs, might it not be better to trade your only point guard to shore up other categories and play for the win instead of all categories?

Do you not run into instances where you have people on the bench that you can't plug into your lineup while your PG spot is empty? I run into that all the time with my teams that have few options at certain positions (for instance, only having Ibaka and Noel as my centers in one league)? Sometimes neither of them have a game while the rest of my lineup is full and I have extra players on my bench.

Good point. Several leagues force you to fill in players by specific position grids. There are several guys that have the PG/SG distinction. If you are going to completely punt assists you may want to try that strategy.
I still think Rondo could help you if you do want to snag a few assists points.
Good luck!

Thanks guys great advice, Annakaria, yes I understand what you are saying but so far I haven't had that problem, we have 3 utls spots and an extra F spot instead of two C spots.

I agree that not having PG will leave you with empty roster spot which isn't good during playoffs. I feel conflicted because shoring up my weakness would put me over the top too.

I need to analyze this more now
