Down the home stretch....
Just traded away Jrue and Aldridge for KD and Mirotic (even though I need assists).
Can you take a peak at my team and help me prioritise assists? Who are players I should look to move? Any of your favourite targets (for assists) out there?
PG: Jamal Murray, James Harden, Elfrid Payton
SG/SF: Kevin Durant, Khris Middleton, Trevor Ariza, Mikal Bridges
PF/C: Clint Capela, Jonas Valanciunas, Mitchell Robinson, Serge Ibaka, Nikola Mirotic
I'm also streaming Tyus Jones atm.
I get why you did that but it'll be hard to compete with many teams now.
I trying to keep your core stats solid, most of your guys are essential- only JV stands out as a trade candidate (or Elf if you decide to punt assists).
In terms of guys you can use, Dunn or Rondo might be options on your wire though all those are pretty one dimensional where as guys like Delon Wright and Augustin are more well-rounded players though less impactful in assists.
First I would go ahead in the schedule and check the rosters of your likely Round 1 opponent- if he's super strong in assists I wouldn't even try to compete and I'd use my streaming spot to address other cats. If he's average to weak in assists, I would see how the games count looks and do a rough stat extrapolation to decide whether to try to compete or not in assists.
Aye Chef,
Looking to make my team stronger as the playoffs approach. Here are the
rankings for my h2h 12 team league. What player would you drop
and what type of (category) player should I add to strengthen my build?
Side note- I dont always win BOTH FG/FT%s and Stls/3pt are competitive.
Thank you

Hey Sunny,
Looks like your core cats are percentages, TOs, Rebs and defense - blocks and steals.
Those are a good core to have and it makes Tyler Johnson and Prince a bit iffy- on the season, they've both had pretty bad % for most of the season. You don;t have to drop right now, but let's say Johnson starts crapping the bed this week or next- you def don't want him dragging down your percentages.
Outside of that, I would start to look ahead to the playoff schedule- who are your likely opponents and what are their strengths and weakness? How many games do they have in Round 1 and how many do you have.
Then you can address those needs based on match up and schedule (do they have more big men games than you? you might want to add some more rebs and blks. Is their primary assist guy hurt and they have way less games than you? Maybe you can snag assists too.)
Not H2H Chef, its a Roto league. Sorry, i should have specified. I am keen to add assits somewhere and was tempted by a KD for Jokic trade. I do like your take on JV being a good trade piece as I think I have too many bigs.
KD for Jokic not so bad. You lose just a little 9-cat value but target an urgent need.
JV an option too but I don't know high assist guys that another manager will take for him.
12 team 9 cat, on the outside of the playoffs and trying to get in so looking for a short term gain.
I need % and assists. And trying to maximize games.
The plan is to drop mikal bridges for Augustin or Tyus Jones. Who do you like more?
Ideally, you'd have someone other than Mikal to stream but if not:
hard to target both % and assists since most pgs shoot poorly. Aside form that, it all depends how long Jeff Teague will miss.
I like Jones better than DJ as he has 7 games in the next two weeks compared to 6 for Augustin and should get more assists but again all contingent on Teague being out.
For a points league I am currently holding Kris Dunn cause of the waiver wire being pretty bad. Names include Kennard, Pat Bev, Kelly Olynyk and Maurice Harkless. Are any of them worth adding for Dunn?
I'd probably go Pat Bev in h2h for playoff sched (4-3-4 vs 3-3-3 for Dunn).
Olynyk is also an option- higher upside though way lower floor.
yo Chef!
16 teams, 9cats, H2H
Been offered Fox for my Middleton. i need asts and stls plus Fox's playoff sched is 444. Who you got? Accept or keep Middleton? Thanks
Going Fox 100% in h2h unless you're winning %s every week.
So i'm out of the playoffs and need to snag a keeper for next year. Would also like to sabotage the homie in the process as he's battling for the final playoff spot over the next couple of weeks lol.

My Draymond
for
Steven Adams
The Kiwi is always a steady top 20 guy in this format (currently 22) and would only cost a 10th round pick next year. Thinking I can get away with this on straight name value alone. What do you think, Chef? What are the chances Draymond pops and we see that 2nd round guy over the next 4.5 weeks? And just how petty am I?
Hahahaha, only medium pettiness detected since you also want to set up your team for next season.
I think you can do that- low odds Dray gets significantly more productive down the stretch, and aside from the 5-game week 23 (likely to get some rest in that one) he doesn't have an impressive schedule either.
