All,
Quick review of the adp (and average draft values) in the context of auctions suggests a but of a gap in quality through the 20-40 range and alot of value bunched in the 40-50s.
There is also a serious lack of elite PG talent.
With this in mind, what are your thoughts on spending more aggressively early on a KAT/AD plus Lillard/Kyrie combo and accepting this will likely price you out of assets through to the 4th rnd?
Trialled this strategy in a mock (lots of Bots so i am not convinced i'll be able to dominate the later rounds with surplus cash in real) and ended with below (in price order).
JV onward were in the cash dominant period where i could outpay the 2nd highest cash balance as needed.

My strategy through the years has been very similar to your thinking. I think targeting a couple players early that will give you the biggest advantage, even if they cost you a little extra, is a good move. It gives you an initial advantage and goes a long way to shaping the rest of your team. The key is to use your remaining funds wisely to build out your team. Watch the other teams rosters as they fill positions. For example, if you see PG's are locked down for all the teams then even though your next highest rated player is a PG you can continue to wait to bid on a PG so you can get a huge value. Auction drafts are the best!
Good luck!
