It’s been 10 days since the Kings last won a game, and their Head Coach is finally and officially on the hot seat.
We discuss the Monday news from Sam Amick/Shams, briefly discuss the Kings shameful loss to OKC, and what life will be like post-Walton (hint: Gentry is not much of an upgrade). We don’t even preview much of tonight’s Pistons game because, I mean, why bother? The Kings are in a weird spot right now, and it’s only been 13 games. We just wanted to get out feelings out there so we can somehow survive the remaining 69 that lie ahead.

The Grizzlies head into New Orleans to matchup against a 1-12 Pelicans team on a 9 game losing streak. What happens?? The Pels end their losing streak because the Grizzlies refuse to execute on the defensive end of the floor. David and Isaac are postgame.
The Clippers have won 6 in a row and Paul George is playing at an MVP level. Adam Ausland joins Brandon on this delightful Friday edition!
Plus, should PG be getting more MVP love? Has Eric Bledsoe silenced the critics? Is Nic Batum the second most valuable Clipper right now? We hit on it all!

The Phoenix Suns beat the Memphis Grizzlies 119 – 94. The Grizz defense continues to struggle against dribble penetration and when you are facing CP3…that’s a much larger issue. David and Isaac are postgame after another devastating loss.
Coming off their ugliest loss of the season, the Kings gave us plenty to vent about… so that’s exactly what we did.
The highly opinionated, ever-entertaining Connor Sutton (host of “The Breakaway: A Republic FC podcast”) grabs a mic, a dark room, and joins us for this episode. We cover the Kings recent woes, their next opponent (and why Sam admittedly fears them) and Marvin Bagley’s next home. We end, as usual for Friday’s, with “Jill’s Water Cooler,” and Connor even takes it upon himself to share his own fun story (it was okay. He tried).

Coming off of what was unquestionably their best win of the season, the Lakers’ season can be summarized in one of two ways: the pessimist says they’re just 7-5 with a ton of questions, injuries, and a lot to be desired. The optimist says this team is just two careless games away vs. OKC from a 9-3 record and nobody would be talking about any of the items that are currently conversational bullets. The realist knows it’s all somewhere in between.
For the first time all season, the Lakers played with a team cohesion from start to finish in the win vs. Miami, the role players really stepped up to the plate, and the full Russell Westbrook experience is both why the Lakers won and almost lost all in the same swoop.
Ethan returns for a solo show to talk about all of that, the Alex Caruso story that will not go away, and much more in 30 action-packed minutes of the Hoop Ball Lakers podcast.
