• Did you know that June 1 marks the start of hurricane season? Forecasters expect the 2024 hurricane season to be busier than average. I encourage people living on or near the Gulf Coast or East Coast to have a family safety plan in case a tropical system threatens this year.

    As the calendar flips to June, it also means that hitter-friendly warm air will be more common in many parts of the U.S.  It is becoming the time of year when there can be large discrepancies between the warmer ballparks in most of the country – and the much chillier ones on the west coast. Series played in Seattle and San Francisco will be this weekend’s coldest games, so try to avoid those poorer-hitting environments if possible.
