In their second match, they conceded a surprising equalizer to the Dominican Republic from a corner kick but managed well after the opponent went down to 10 men. Egypt had a goalless draw with the Dominican Republic and then maintained their early goal advantage against Uzbekistan until the final whistle. Spain has secured advancement from the group stage. This match is crucial for securing the top spot in the group. Even if Egypt loses, they could still advance to the quarter-finals depending on the result of the Dominican Republic vs. Uzbekistan match. Although Egypt has been solid in defense, they haven’t faced a team of Spain’s caliber and have struggled with productivity on offense. With one of the two strongest squads in the Olympics, Spain cannot afford any mistakes. I expect them to win this one.
