After dropping points in back-to-back league matches, Bayern Munich bounced back with a 3-2 win over St. Pauli, though their defensive frailties remain an issue—largely due to key absences. Neuer, Davies, Upamecano, and Ito are all ruled out, leaving their backline vulnerable. That could be a concern against Augsburg, who are unbeaten in their last 11 matches. While Augsburg may lack the attacking firepower to fully exploit Bayern’s defensive gaps, their disciplined defensive shape (8 clean sheets in that stretch) should help them stay competitive.
