A player’s dynasty value is inherently in the eye of the beholder, and that’s important to remember as you read through these rankings. Ultimately, these rankings are an attempt to pinpoint these quarterbacks’ dynasty value based on a combination of their recent fantasy performance, their age, the players and coaches around them, and their contract status.
That said, there’s plenty of gray area in these rankings. Trevor Lawrence (ranked 12th) vs. Dak Prescott (ranked 14th) is a great illustration of this inherent subjectivity. Prescott absolutely kicked Lawrence’s butt in fantasy production last year, and there’s legitimate concern about Lawrence’s viability as a fantasy QB. Still, I have Lawrence ranked above Prescott, because Lawrence:
- -Is still not 25 years old
- -Had immense prospect pedigree
- -Was the QB8 in 2022 as a sophomore
- -Just received a massive contract extension to guarantee him as the starter in Jacksonville for the foreseeable future
- -Is locked into a good offensive situation between weapons and coaches
All that is to say that a lot of this is inherently an attempt to pinpoint something intangible, and a lot of it is subject to change rather quickly, especially in the early part of the 2024 season. Still, this list is a good approximation of where these QBs are at as dynasty fantasy football assets as we head into training camps.
