STUDS
1. Breece Hall
Finally, Breece Hall had a day to be excited about. Not only was he great running the ball, but he was also a super effective option against a Pittsburgh blitz defense in the quick pass game. Todd Downing has actually got this offense moving in the right direction, even if it’s not perfect. That makes Breece Hall an exciting player moving forward versus what he was early on in the season. Keep starting them with confidence. Good things are coming.
2. Saquon Barkley
Is there any way we can petition the NFL for more revenge games because this has been a great story this season. It’s great for networks, excellent for viewership, and especially great for fantasy. All off-season on Hard Knocks, the conversation in the Giants building was about Saquon Barkley, but it didn’t go so well for the Giants as he joined the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles. They played for the first time on Sunday, and what a surprise! Saquon Barkley took it personally with an incredible 26.7 PPR fantasy points. On top of everything for Barkley, the injury bug doesn’t seem to want to hit him this year as he’s not getting as many touches, but he’s also making the most of his opportunities.
3. Tank Bigsby
That day was impressive for Tank Bigsby in London, with 23.8 PPR Fantasy points. We have always liked his running style here at Studs and Duds, and he proved that he could be an RB1 on an NFL offense. While Travis Etienne is still the number one back in Jacksonville, it’s hard not to recommend Bigsby as an excellent waiver wire option this week and a potential flex play in certain situations.
2 for 1 Duds
Marvin Harrison Jr and Malik Nabers
It’s crazy how similar both these rookie wide receiver situations are. Both teams have quarterbacks who have difficulty getting them the ball, and the offensive schemes aren’t exactly perfect to get them the ball in quick pass-game situations. And yes, obviously, Nabers has been the better of the two so far. Another similarity between these two comes from the fantasy profiles. At this point, it’s just best to ride the wave with these two, especially considering all the wide receiver injuries hitting fantasy teams this week. With both of these receivers healthy, if they produce, that can be the difference that has you celebrating a win on Monday night. Keep trusting them and live with the inconsistencies.
