• The situation in Detroit is changing and how did Clay Holmes do this week for the Yanks? Do the Royals finally have a trusted closer? What to make of the Committee for the Dodgers?

And of course the holds situation is always changing.

For the closer’s roles, I have four tiers:

Strong – No reason to believe they will be losing the job.

Solid – They are still the closer, but there is a chance it can change.

Weak – They’re a CINO  (Closer in name only) and are in clear danger of losing the job.

Committee – there is no set closer and numerous arms could get the call.

For holds, I’ll be listing the names of the dudes who have gotten holds most recently and telling you which ones to trust.

    Toronto Blue Jays
Closer – Chad Green – Strong (LW: Strong)

Chad Green got the Jays’ only save over the last seven days. He threw three innings of one-hit ball with three strikeouts and no walks nor runs allowed.

He has locked down this role.

    Holds

No holds were recorded over the last seven days.

Genesis Cabrera is the arm for holds to have in deeper leagues. However, he has four holds over the last 30 days to go with a 3.00 ERA and 11 strikeouts.
