One of the best tools available to fantasy players, of all sports, are serious mock drafts. When you can participate in a mock draft with 11 to 14 other fantasy players who are using the draft as research, taking it seriously and drafting like they will play the league out, you can learn a lot.
In my first mock draft of the year, that I did. I have not participated in a new dynasty league in probably six or seven years, so I like having the opportunity to participate in two or three serious dynasty mock drafts each draft season, just to see what the environment is like in a startup.
Scott White, of CBS Sports, hosts many handfuls of mock drafts every year in January and February, and was gracious enough to invite me to participate in the 12-team, roto dynasty startup mock draft whose team we will be discussing today.
If you’d like to see all of the participants, their rosters and the full draft board, Scott wrote it up over here: 2025 Fantasy Baseball Dynasty Startup Mock Draft.
