Duke center Vernon Carey Jr. was amongst the list of 205 players that the NBA announced to be early draft entries.

Carey was part of the early entry process that allows him to withdraw from draft consideration up to 10 days before the festivities. Carey is projected as a late first-round player at this time, and whether or not he returns to Duke is likely to come down to what kind of guarantees he receives from NBA squads. His freshman season with the Blue Devils was a productive one, with averages of 17.8 points on 57.7 field goal percentage, alongside 8.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. His game looks well suited for the pros as he already displayed decent range from deep last season.
