Shams Charania reported on Wednesday that Ben Simmons' MRI on his left knee came back clean and he is expected to be day-to-day.

This is great news for the Sixers, who need Simmons to succeed in the playoffs. The Sixers didn't need Simmons to beat the Wizards on Wednesday, and his next chance to play will be Friday vs. the Magic. While the Sixers may want to give Simmons time to rest, they also need to get chemistry with their new starting lineup ahead of the playoffs. Al Horford played 29 minutes on Wednesday and will likely have a similar work load if Simmons misses time.
