Rui HachimuraPF, Washington WizardsRui Hachimura finished his rookie season as a top-150/135 (8/9-cat) fantasy player.
Hachimura impressed in the preseason and started in each of his 41 games this year, with a 23-game absence (groin contusion/surgery) slowing his momentum substantially. Our big concerns with Hachmiura's fantasy game ended up being on point, as he only averaged 0.8 steals, 0.2 blocks and 0.5 threes (on .274 3P%) despite 29.7 mpg. He was able to post 13.4 points and 6.0 rebounds per game on a solid .478 mark overall at least, though that's a very hollow stat set — one of the most difficult with which to burst through a late-round ceiling. There will be increasing upside as his game rounds out so we'll be watching Hachimura's progress closely before next season begins.
