The Hoop-Ball 6 should have been released on Monday, or at the very least one player per day starting last Saturday so that we have that information available for most of our drafts that start a full week before the season starts. I understand the idea of holding that information as late as possible so that other sites and players don't benefit from it (as much), but if it's not available to Hoop-Ball customers when they draft, it actually has no value. And given that the B150 early edition has been out for a long time and that the final major update was made to the B150 on Oct. 8, everyone knows who the ten or so candidates are for the Hoop-Ball 6. Ultimately, your own customers are losing out. Hoop-Ball is no longer a secret community and I would rather you be more open with paying customers, even if that means smaller profit margins on draft positions.

😉

Hi Phillipe,

Your points are noted and we'll continue to embrace the challenge of differing needs and all the factors that go into running a website. If that means scaling back content because enough folks are irritated that it's not being released fast enough, in this particular case where it's a duplicative piece of content -- we'll take it off the table. The B150 and all of the other content on this site more than has folks covered, and as you mentioned you can more or less figure out who to target, or who might be in the HB6.

The HB6 was intended to be a fun, cherry-on-top summation of the entire draft season's worth of work, which happens to include today, tomorrow and this weekend. It reflects changing attitudes in player values, market conditions and plain and simply, who the hell do we like on the masthead. It's the big exhale after the dust has settled.

We can't coordinate updates to match every person's schedule, but we do our best to use the available 24 hours in a day and seven days in a week (without sleeping very much) to prioritize the best practices that we know and combine that with a methodology that we're going to determine, because at the end of the day it's our names on what we do. We hope people continue to see the value in that.

So we'll keep our ears to the ground and see what is what. We're going to continue to grow and with that growth will come challenges, and we'll take those challenges very seriously and always put our hearts and souls into whatever the issue may be. So hopefully that addresses your concerns and if not, we'll take the concerns into consideration for next season.
