Thinking of moving Poeltl, he is great for my build (punt FT% and 3PM) but his trade risk on the tanking Spurs is getting the best of me. Anyone I should target for him?

Thanks!

For your punt build, you could go for Ben Simmons since you've been eyeing him already. ü

Just let Poeltl roll. You won't find someone for his value range that fits your build better than he does.

Poeltl owner in a 9cat 10T league here with the same punt situation. I had that same logic as you too, but have changed my perspective lately. I would want Poeltl to get traded to a better team so he wouldn't have those same random rest days and the b2b worries as he currently does in San Antonio. I think his future team would feature him as a defensive anchor rather than the offensive hub he is right now, so that would make him better for your punt situation. Any thoughts?

Not sure he'd have the same role but playing way more games is indeed a much better spot

@shaggyboo99 Fair enough, but I worry he goes to a contender and is coming off the bench behind a superstar or something. I guess it depends where he gets shipped off.

@brandonbourassa I could see him going to either a bad/tanking team with lots of cap space or a good/contending team to shore up their defense. I could see positives and negatives for either situation:

If he goes to a contender like the Celtics, he could easily fill in for Rob Williams. That would help boost his blocks, increase fg%, and cut down on turnovers which are all massive wins for your punt situation. In terms of negatives, his assists could decrease and the obvious threat of nights when Rob Williams is active.

If he goes to a bad team like the Hornets, he would be doing much of the same as he's doing now with likely better numbers.
