So, I've still got Derrick White in an Injured Reserve spot because I haven't been able to decide who to drop for him yet. Looking for advice on who to cut . . . OR, if I should try to make a 2 for 1 trade to free up a spot for him. Here's my active roster:
Damian Lillard
Kyrie Irving
Gary Harris
Josh Hart
Clint Capela
Taurean Prince
Wendell Carter
Hassan Whiteside
Malcolm Brogdon
Jeremy Lamb
Montrezl Harrell
Danilo Gallinari
Kyle Anderson
I really don't want to drop any of these guys! The only guy I can make a case to myself for is Anderson, solely for the reason that Memphis doesn't have a good fantasy playoff schedule (2-3-4). Hart is maybe another candidate, but he's doing just enough right now to be playable and the upside is too much for me to feel comfortable dropping him. Ditto Lamb.
I do have some strong sell-high candidates in Whiteside, Carter, and Gallinari. Should I try packaging two of those guys for one early-round player, perhaps for a high-assist guy since I'm weak in that category?
So I'm thinking about sending out an offer of Whiteside + Gallinari for John Wall, to an owner who has shown interest in Whiteside and is loaded at PG (and has out-of-position assists in Jokic and Draymond Green, so he might think he can afford to part with Wall). Wizards have a 4-4-4 playoff schedule which makes Wall especially attractive to me. Should I send that proposal?
Yeah try trade up 2-4-1. Whiteside and hart for Rubio or try whiteside and someone for jrue
Not sure anyone wants Josh Hart, given his decreased minutes in the current rotations. He might end up being your drop... just be ready.
Yeah, I hear ya about Hart. It's just that even with his MPG in the low 20s he's still been a top 100 player over the last two weeks. And looking down the road the Lakers have a tasty 4-3-4 sched during the fantasy playoffs, so I don't want to drop him too hastily.
I think I might just sit on my roster for now and let White stew in my IR spot until someone becomes an obvious drop, or I can work out a 2-for-1. If White has some big lines this week I might become more urgent about taking action.
