That's a good question. Jonas Nader is a huge proponent of just dominating the hell out of Yahoo "pro leagues" which is just people that have won their crappy home leagues...

I hit up Yahoo Sports customer service and asked them on Friday. Their response is that it would be sometime "next week", but they had no idea what day.

Oh well, still better than ESPN...

And just now, they gave me a response of: NBA pro and cash leagues are currently being worked on by our engineering team. They hope to have them available shortly. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I have noticed a few people (like the above) missing out on the Hoop-Ball leagues. I have a long standing ESPN league and we need a couple of extra managers this year to fill out the 10-team format. It is a 10-team 8-cat H2H live auction format (it’s a fun and active league). All participants currently live ‘down under’ but that’s not a requirement. It is a money league too - $50 buy in, all for top-prizes.

Would anybody on the Hoop-ball forum be interested or is there anywhere I can seek out some extra managers?

Participants or advice would be appreciated.

Has anyone done a yahoo custom league for money? Do you feel safe payouts are made? If yahoo pro leagues do not open, I’m looking at that as an alternative to finding a different platform to play.

It’s just getting silly at this point. It’s a shame because it’s punishing those of us who put in the leg work throughout the season, as the longer they wait to open them, the more we lose our edge, while the casual players catch up. They’re losing customers as people move to other sites. Does yahoo not want to make money?

This is just the thread I've been looking for. Hope Yahoo opens them soon. Although I feel like they've made it clear for years that no, as a company, they're fine not making money lol.

Does ESPN have similar public pay leagues?
