I have won the rights to choose my pick selections this season. Is having number 1 pick, the best option, despite seemingly missing all elite point guards in the process?

First pick! Yes. It’s about value early on.

Pick 1 - AD

Then i'd look for options like Bledsoe, Draymond, and Lowry to fall to your 28/29th pick range. They should give you a solid base in PG stats assists.
Otto and Middleton might still be around too.

I kinda like being in the middle of the round, but you don't want to ace yourself out of those top few guys. Just too juicy. I'd say lowest you go is 5th pick if you really wanted to avoid being on a turn.

This year, if I could, I would choose to draft 4th/3th. Guarantees a great guy, and you might get these crucial choices in the upcoming rounds ahead of the 3rd/2nd/1st pick.

And that also makes you open to draft certain guys. This year I got "lucky" and got 2 drafts with the 1st pick. You just can't get any value of the 3rd round, which I'd say is a great opportunity. Going 1/24/25/48/49 is "impossible" to get Ayton, for example.
