Hi guys,
I just saw the news that Deandre Ayton is Suspended for 25 Games! I don't have him but thinking about making a waiver wire pick.I assume that means more minutes for Baynes and Kaminsky. But is one a better grab than the other, or will time be split between them?
I'm thinking neither ends up fully fantasy relevant. Saric will get some. Kaminsky a few. Baynes some.
The first thing I did when this news came out was add holmes and drop my worst player.
I'm sad he isn't getting any love or mentions on here to confirm that I made a great move... Lol
Where did the edit button go?
I realized I got Ayton news mixed up with Bagley news. I added Holmes after Bagley info came out.
Are there any recent examples of NBA player suspensions being reduced? Or one being suspended for a diuretic?
I did a fantasy nono and traded for Ayton last night. In my defense, he isn't injured. My league format also favors big guys, and Ayton is a 1st rd player when active.
10Cat (ORB/DRB), H2H, 8tm, 18 roster spots
Punting assists
I traded Sabo & Otto for him.
I scooped up Kelly-O, as the Heat have a weekend B2B. It'll be a lil tough sledding'til December, but once he's back (or if the suspension is reduced) I'm set up "very nice!" *Borat voice*
Oof. That is a whole lot of value to trade for somebody who's suspended for a third of the season.
Yeah I'd agree with that. I probably could've haggled some more.
But I'm getting a top 10 player back. And At least there's not some lingering injury.
*This is bit here is pretty league specific so I did't think it was worth mentioning but this is a keeper league and Ayton is keeper eligible for a 1st rd pick next year and my other 4 keepers are set. I had 8th & 9th pick this year. I would've rather started my team with Ayton and the choice of Dame OR Kawhi rather than be stuck with picking Dame AND Kawhi.
I'm not sure how much that stuff matters, but given the league specs Ayton is a really valuable piece.
It's aggressive. I'm pretty confident (probably foolishly) that I can stay competitive until then.
