Hey HoopBallers --
How does the news of Westbrook receiving a PRP injection impact your draft day moves?
For me: I'm not drafting him.
It does affect me quite a bit. If KD/Steph/KAT/Giannis/Kawhi goes first, then having the 6th pick's gonna be that much more difficult for me. Before this news, I would've probably picked Westbrook at 6 with good assurance. Now.. he's floating along the same waters as AD.. where I'm not sure what kinda sea creatures there may be to potentially injure them haha. So then it jumps to the next arguable BPAs in Jokic, Harden, and I guess CP3/LeBron. I might just have to go with Jokic if I'm pick 6 in this situation.. but I'm not sure. Ugh, I hope I don't get picks 6-10 this year lol
Does this mean PG13 ADP will go up (abit) ?
I'm still drafting Russ.
Lil Leftee - I think you have to go AD, Harden or Jokic there
MikeyMouse -- Interestingly, I'm probably leaving him alone. Mostly because I think Russ still PLAYS, but can he do quite as much?
Plus, this is about avoiding risk more than it is adjusting for an injury. I'd rather avoid Russ and have him play the season healthy than draft him and have him mess up the year, if that makes sense.
Erik - you're a saucier man than I!
Dang, Erik's so bold and confident LOL Didn't even need to explain himself - "like screw that! IF RUSSETH FALLS IN THY HANDETH, THY SHALL DRAFTETH!" ^_^
Anyway, to answer Dan, yeah I think I'll lean towards Jokic. I'm fuzzy about AD and his health. Harden's also a red flag that I just can't shake off. I don't see him maintaining his REBs/ASTs, but perhaps he'll increase in efficiency. Overall just not sure. Because of this, Jokic seems to make the most sense to me, although I probably won't get much value from this pick.
