Hello Fellow Hoop-ballers!

Now that most of the drafts are complete, my thinking mode changes to the waiver wire. Had the 9th and 8th pick in a couple of my money leagues this year. What kind of player should I be looking for to use with this high priority? Adding only for need or am I looking for high upside? One is a 10 team H2H while the other is 12 H2H. Does the strategy change depending on league size?

It depends on several factors.
Is your league daily changes or weekly?
If daily, get players you can use immediately, compensating for weakness and improving on strengths.
If weekly and/or have IR slot. You can invest in injured players who were avoided (Zach LaVine, etc). You can also add the upside players you mentioned, however, keep it to ONE or TWO (max). You will need some guys who can make an impact from the get-go.

I'm inclined to also ask ... is this a league where your opponents make a lot of moves.

I have a league where the waiver priority totem turns over 1-2x per year, and I have another where it turns over like 6-7x. In one scenario saving it is better; in the other, jump on someone that has big time upside and hope for the best.
