I’m considering a trade, I would give up Teague, Oladipo, and Siakam for Tobias Harris, and Joel Embiid. My current team make up is.
Big men: Deandre Ayton, Myles Turner, Derrick Favors, Kevin Love (IR), Jarrett Allen, Richaun Holmes
Wings: Marcus Morris,Pascal Siakam, Kawhi Leonard, Evan Fournier
Guards: Victor Oladipo, Buddy Hield, Malcolm Brogdon, Jeff Teague
The guy I'm trying to trade with has E. Payton, Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, Danilo Gallinari, Trevor Ariza, Reggie Jackson, Wes Matthews, Demarcus Cousins, Ben Simmons, Willie Cauley Stein, Marcus Smart, DeAaron Fox, Tyler Johnson, Isaih Thomas.
I’m pretty strong in fg%, ft%, rebs, blks, and to. I’m okay in pts. However, I’m pretty weak in 3pt, stl, and ast. Should I do this trade?
You have a great team. In a vacuum I think the trade is relatively fair especially if there is someone exciting on the wire you can pick up.
But if you feel you are weak in assists, steals and 3s I don’t think Tobias is the best target. He is averaging less than a steal a game and 2 assists a game. Both he and Embiid are top 20 players in a punt assists build. Teague is struggling now sure, but he and Oladipo both have a track record of great steal numbers.
Rather than hitting a home run, someone like Ariza may fit your steal and 3 needs more easily. A straight up Brogdon for Ariza might work? They are ranked almost the same on the season and you come out well ahead in both those categories (even assists right now surprisingly). Plus Ariza has an awesome playoffs schedule as a Wizard
Thanks for the input. I'm considering this trade because I'm dead last in my league in steals and bottom 3 in my league in assists.
I just like it because it gets you the best player in the deal ... problem is you're selling low on Oladipo. I'd kinda rather wait to see if he can churn out a couple weeks of 1st round value and then reevaluate.
