I'm trying to acquire Jrue Holiday from a team that's no longer in the running for the playoffs. They're looking toward next season at this point.
I offered Dennis Smith Jr and Bizmack Biyombo for Jrue Holiday. He said he didn't want Biyombo but doesn't mind a Holiday for DSJ trade. He countered with DSJ/Dinwiddie for Jrue/Rondo.
I'm not really interested in Rondo, but I could probably drop him and find someone from the wire. A bit worried about giving away two of my high assist guards though so maybe I'd keep Rondo? I don't know. Currently in 2nd in the league.
Thoughts?
For reference, here's my current roster:
Russell Westbrook OKC - PG
Spencer Dinwiddie Bkn - PG
Dennis Smith Jr. Dal - PG,SG
Josh Richardson Mia - PG,SG,SF
Andrew Wiggins Min - SG,SF
Kyle Kuzma LAL - SF,PF
Nikola Mirotic Chi - SF,PF
Bismack Biyombo Orl - PF,C
Willie Cauley-Stein Sac - PF,C
Anthony Davis NO - PF,C
John Collins Atl - PF,C
Myles Turner Ind - PF,C
Trevor Ariza Hou - SG,SF [IL]
what are the keeper rules?
It's 9-Cat auction keeper. Five keepers, $5 added each year they're kept, can only keep a player for three seasons.
Jrue is currently $9, DSJ is $13, and Dinwiddie is $0. So add on $5 to any of those guys kept. I don't really want to keep DSJ though which is why I'm trying to make a trade.
I would imagine you're already pretty strong in assists with Westbrook. Depends how deep/thin the waiver wire is. I'd do it you're getting the best player in the deal.
Jrue is a benemoth. DSJ isn't. I think you make that deal.
I agree with Dan on this one. Holiday is a nice upgrade to DSJ. Dinwiddie has been fading slowly, so his assists won't stay as high as you're accustomed to seeing.
